Rhiana's Journey

While pursuing a B.A. in political science at the University of CA Riverside, Rhiana enrolled in a part-time cosmetology program with dreams of becoming a beauty industry professional and entrepreneur. Throughout a decade as a professional manicurist, Rhiana has worked in nearly every household salon throughout Beverly Hills and Hollywood, gaining experience with industry leading artists and clientele. Rhiana opened her first studio in 2017 in her hometown, Pasadena, CA, introducing the city's first black owned nail and brow esthetics salon space. In 2020, as the industry took a turn due to COVID and introduced new safety guidelines, Rhiana pursued becoming a private academy educator and mentor while servicing a niche clientele at a second location and training facility in Pasadena. Having advanced into the public education sector as a Pasadena City College Cosmetology Instructor, Rhiana reserves salon and private sessions for long-time clients and maintenance requests.
